Over time as I considered correct pronounciation of Sanskrit, I have time and time again seen information on Manorama. See the following link for her website with info on CDs available to assist with pronounciation. At some point I will research this more and will probably buy some CDs/see where she is conducting workshops, to further my own study on this topic. Please share any resources you find. http://www.sanskritstudies.org/About/About_Manorama.html

See you Monday!

Last night's class was another eye opener for me. Many times in mountain pose I notice that my butt cheeks were tense (no jokes please) and I would consciously relax them only to notice that they would tighten again as my attention was directed elsewhere. I kept meaning to question a teacher about this. Well last night Beth discribed how we typically balance on our heels and our body in fear tipping backward tenses and no, a light didn't go on for me. It took me actually practicing to move the balance point to the inside of my heel and as I was standing in Mountain pose that it suddenly occured to me I was not tightening my butt and how much better and natural it felt.
So one thing this teacher training has taught me is how little I actually know and how much I need to learn and practice.

Namaste
